Hi. My name is Kathryn. I adore taking photos, all kinds of photos. Pictures of kids with bedhead and stains on their shirts. Pregnant gals showing off a bit of their wondrous beauty. Women giving birth and giving life. Brides who laugh and get silly.

On top of that, I have a few projects that I am working on and a few that I am cooking up. It is becoming increasingly clear to me that my stories and images centre on people's strengths, struggles and choices – both in my project work and my commissioned work.

Aside from taking pictures, I also rather like Tazo Passion tea, dark chocolate, red boots and knee high wool socks. And my green sit-up high bicycle.

I am truly, madly, deeply in love with two people. This guy named Shawn. And a sweet little girl named Beatrice.

Maternity Session with Mandy and Art

So lovely…. Can I say again how much I absolutely love photographing pregnant gals? For me, being pregnant was such an incredible time. I so thoroughly enjoyed growing a new person, watching my body and my life change. The first butterfly tickles of movement inside. The belly rubs from Shawn. Eating chocolate each and every day. The anticipation.

And it is so amazing to be part of that in someone else’s life, especially people like Mandy and Art. Sigh…enjoy these favourites from our session.
